Christmas
1999
Ho, Ho, Ho,
Did you know?
Our poem started
Ten years ago
Who
in the hell
Would think Jeff would work for a
Company like Z-Tel
He might not have done it
Had he not expected them to go public
Zac
thinks he is cool
But only in preschool
Normally he would be antsy
Well not with a teacher named Ms. Nancy
Zac
is big
And he is glad
The kids just call
Him zig zag
We
finally saw the day
Jeff got his MBA
He did his best
Of course, we all felt the stress
Oh
how Brenda did dance
Before we went to France
American Airlines accepted the task
And upgraded us to first class
It
took about an hour
To climb the Eiffel tower
It was the perfect day
To catch some rays
To
Jimmy Buffett’s concerts Jeff used to go
Before we called him Fro
This year though
Marked 20 years in a row
At
Jimmy Buffett Zac quit playing with electronics
And put on a clinic in economics
We had supply they were in demand
He could tell by looking at their body
The girls needed a potty
At
the concert, Chip was so sweet
He could barely stand on two feet
He watered the lawn
With his Technicolor yawn
Brenda felt Jeff was
deservable
So, she bought him a convertible
Zac has not a care
In the back with fresh air
Brenda made the call
Then Zac played t-ball
Now that I recall
It was more like a brawl
They took our dough
For Zac to take Tae Kwon Do
We cannot describe how we felt when he
Got his yellow belt
Zac is no Warren Beatty
But his girl friend's name is Katie
I wonder if one day he will reminisce
Over his first kiss
It was not a dream
But at four should we intervene?
In the early years dad
was spiffy
Now he is sixty
Life is full of fate and we documented his on tape
But we documented it on tape
Our dog Caymus has
become close to Zac
She does not give him any flack
She now sleeps in his bed
Assuming a tennis ball is next to his head.
Zac is big on the tank
engine named Thomas
At Disney, we made him a promise
Fortunately we did not have to tip her
So Zac could yell all a board as the conductor
At work Brenda was in a
daze
She did get a raise
She had not a clue
But she actually got two.
